The skin is your body’s largest organ of protection but also of elimination or detox.  When other organs in the body (like the liver, kidneys and lungs) are over-taxed with toxins, the body uses skin to help it push out toxins. Did you know that the skin throws off about 2 pounds of toxic waste a day in the form of sweating?

The appearance of your skin and what is happening is a good barometer of the general health of your body.  Spots, dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, and dark circles under the eyes are all signs of an over-burdened body.

So let’s go deeper than the surface level, and look at what is happening inside the body when it has trouble handling the toxins…..

Toxicity + the Environment:

Did you know that the average person today carries a minimum of 700 known toxins in their blood, skin, fat, brain, liver, digestive and other organ systems?

These toxins come mostly from our environment:  

  • cleaning products,

  • personal hygiene products

  • environmental chemicals like pesticides

  • food

  • water (things liked fluoride and medications from other's urine that are not filtered out in water processing plants, so we end up collecting in our bodies)

  • electromagnetic field frequencies from microwaves, cell phones and 5G, and 

  • the polluted air we breathe 

  • NOT to mention the effects of stress, medication, pathogens and so much more bombarding our bodies daily

Our bodies are designed to naturally bind and eliminate toxins via the skin, intestines, kidneys, liver and lungs HOWEVER, the amount of toxins we are exposed to today are too much for our regular elimination systems to handle.  For most of us, our livers are on constant overload. 


As a result, our bodies accumulate excess waste products and toxins, which ultimately causes inflammation and damage that leads to chronic disease.

Are You Experiencing Toxic Overload?

So how do you know if your body may be experiencing toxin overload?  Do you suffer from any of the following symptoms?

  • Skin issues:  rashes, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis

  • Gut issues: gas, bloating, heartburn, constipation or diarrhea, food sensitivities 

  • Tiredness

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Muscle aches or joint pain

  • Food cravings

  • Sleep issues (don’t have a truly restful sleep)

  • Bad breath, body odour or foul smelling stool

  • Increased belly fat or weight gain that is tough to lose

  • Fluid retention (swelling)
